Okay Kids, Let's Play "Did You Know?"

Did you know music industry legend Paul Anka has a new CD?

Did you know his new CD changes classic rock songs to swing?

Did you know it's called Rock Swings?

Did you know that he covers songs like "Jump" by Van Halen, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, "Eyes Without a Face" by Billy Idol, and "Eye of the Tiger" from Rocky III by Survivor, only in a swing format?

Did you know that you could listen to samples of this CD by clicking here?

Did you know that this IS NOT a joke?

Did you know these songs are hysterical?

Did you know that if you read this interview with Paul Anka, you'll discover he actually believes he has improved some of these songs? (Kids, let's keep it quiet, raucous laughter is not appropriate in the game Did You Know?)

Did you know all of these classic songs now sound basically the same?

Did you know you could blend each song seamlessly into the other, creating one long continuous song that just could be the longest in the history of the world?

Did you know there is a Saturday Night Live skit from the 1980s starring Joe Piscopo in which he plays Frank Sinatra doing basically the same thing Paul Anka does here, only to the song "Under My Thumb" by the Rolling Stones?

Did you know that skit was supposed to be very funny, and it was?

Did you know this CD wasn't supposed to be funny, and it is?

Did you know the Five Neat Guys are thinking of making a comeback due to this CD?

Did you know if you get the hiccups from laughing so hard listening to these songs, you can cure them by drinking water out of the opposite side of the glass?

Did you know Paul Anka is far more talented than I am?

Did you know the real tragedy in this is that the legendary Mr. Anka is reduced to this?

Did you know no one probably had the guts to say to the great Mr. Anka, "Bad idea boss?"

Did you know that if the swing version of "Jump" plays in your head all day today because of this, you can get it out of there by singing "The Wheels of the Bus Go 'Round and 'Round"?

Did you know I could be this annoying by writing in question form?

Did you know I'm tired of writing in question form?

Did you know this is the last question?

  1. Did you know that my favorite morning show plays this CD on a daily basis as bumper music? I MUST be old because I like his versions!

  2. Did you know that I find that hilarious?!!! I am sorry, but I just have to laugh at this. That's a shame because I really like Paul Anka and have a lot of respect for him, but I mean, come on!!!!

"Jump, hey, yeah, whoa, might as well jump!" I'm laughing myself silly right now just thinking about it. It's ridiculous. I'd say these songs are ruined for me for the rest of my earthly life!

  3. Well, I did mean "like" in that the songs make me laugh, however I have always loved his voice. The radio show I listen to plays the songs for laughs!
