The United Lutheran Mission Association (ULMA) seeks to organize an independent, traditional Lutheran congregation that is operated and owned by the congregation. The ULMA also wants to promote traditional Lutheran doctrine and worship. The congregations are to call their own pastors.

All ULMA mission funds go directly to the establishment and support of new ULMA mission congregations. The ULMA has no paid administrative staff, no office buildings, and no administrative overhead. In this way, lay people who support the ULMA are assured that their mission funds will actually be used to establish and maintain mission congregations.

Congregations who wish to participate in the ULMA are requested to agree to ULMA the Constitution and the ULMA Mission Congregation Constitution found at www.unitedlutheranmission.org

Congregations who join the ULMA are not required to change their own congregational constitutions. Each ULMA congregation is to send four laymen to the ULMA Commission meetings along with their pastor, who serves in an advisory capacity on the Commission. Each layman has one vote on the Commission. The ULMA is directed entirely by laymen.

The next ULMA Commission meeting will be held in January, 2006, date, time, and place to be announced at a later date.

Please forward this information to lay people who would be interested in participating in the first worship service in the northern Milwaukee suburb of Wauwatosa.

The ULMA seeks your support and prayers in establishing mission congregations. For more information you may also contact one of our sponsoring congregations:
