  3. Scottius Maximus is now the evil opposite of Punxsutawney Phil - he predicts the coming of winter.

Lucy, please help. Does Scottius have groundhog in his bloodline?

I'm fat and furry, not unlike my good friend, Punxsatawneyus Philimus.

Fall is just a winter warm-up, a practice run if you will.

    Yep, it's over. Winter's here.

  5. Scottius - somehow, though, spring isn't a warm-up for Summer. What's up with that?

I don't know. It may have something to do with the fact spring only lasts a week or two and then we're in the clutches of summer heat.

It gives one pause to consider the mysteries of the seasons.

  7. The son of a corn farmer who lives with me says it's called "drying out". Unless you were making some sort of a play on words related to "global warming".

It's drying out 'cause it's dying out. Probably due to changing seasons.

And I could become a believer in "global warming" if this weather keeps up. It's unseasonably warm today, it being winter and all.
