Put Away The Fins And Masks

The corn is dying in all the fields. Which means the seasons have changed.

I hereby declare summer has ended, and winter has arrived.

Everyone please stand and sing:

"Fah who for-aze!
Dah who dor-aze!
Welcome Winter,
Come this way!

Fah who for-aze!
Dah who dor-aze!
Welcome Winter,
Winter Days.

Welcome, Welcome
Fah who rah-moose
Welcome, Welcome
Dah who dah-moose
Winter days are in our grasp
So long as we have hands to clasp

Fah who for-aze!
Dah who dor-aze!
Welcome, welcome Winter
Welcome, welcome Winter Days."

See you in the snow banks!

  1. The sentiment is sweet, but let's have autumn first, Scottius! I love the pumpkins, the changing colors of the leaves, the cooler days...

All lovable things...and also parts of an insidious winter blast.

  3. You laugh down there south of me, but here in Minne-snow-ta September is the start of the possible snow season.
