Getting It Ready

Hat tip to Cards Clubhouse.

With the All-Star game now 3 weeks away, I thought I'd check in to see the state of affairs of downtown St. Louis. It appears that Lake DeWitt, the mosquito infested tribute to the surface of the moon, has been covered up with this:

A softball park. This is the north side of the new stadium, looking east toward the Mississippi, which sits on the site of half of the old Busch Stadium.

Well, at least it is something. Grass and a diamond are better than a water filled crater. The problem is that, due to the positioning of the diamond, when viewed from inside the new stadium, you'll still see dirt beyond the left-center field area.
