It's a balance ball m...That is not a Space Hopper. It's a balance ball most likely prescribed for him by a physical therapist or back rehab clinic. People who sit a lot for their jobs suffer from back problems, as you probably know. That ball encourages movement, active lordosis (though he's not demonstrating it in that photo) and makes it easy to remember to work the care abdominal and back muscles rather than just sit hunched over.
