According to TK at Katie's Beer, little Ernie Douglas was arrested. This news arrived just in time.
I hardly had to consult the Scottius Maximus Enterprises Handbook for this one. But just for the record, here goes:
"Article 15, Section 12, Paragraph 2-
Scottius Maximus Enterprises employees and contractors will not enter in to contractual agreements regarding spokesperson deals with anyone caught hauling marijuana in excess of 759 lbs. in their trailer ."
So, there you have it. Little Ernie Douglas WILL NOT be my next spokesperson.
But now what do I do?
How about this guy? Ladies and gentlemen, my new spokesperson (possibly):

I just knew that you would get the humor in that story. Not the marijuana, not the burned out trailer light....it was the fact that the guy's name was Ernie Douglas. That's it. That is the funny part. I'm glad you got that one. It was a test of sorts. So far, you are the only one that passed, besides me of course.
ReplyDeleteThank you, but that one was easy to see. I can't understand why no one else would get that! Ernie was always my favorite Douglas, even if he did something dumb.
ReplyDeleteSeriously (I actually can be serious), sometimes it's an awkward feeling to have something you think is hilarious go completely unnoticed for whatever reason. It's always better to laugh when when you're not the only one laughing. That's why you have to blog for yourself and not worry about what someone else might think.
