If Tampa Bay has a problem, they need to get this guy's number.
Long-time Cardinal closer Jason Isringhausen signed with Tampa Bay. And I'm greatly relieved.
Not for Izzy, but for all of us. My biggest fear this offseason was that no one would sign Izzy, and we'd pick him back up on the cheap. His mere presence this year would eventually land him back closing games.
It's not that I don't like Izzy. He served us well during our glorious little run. But he is Spent, capital intentional.
