2 Kings 7-10.
We're getting shorter chapters again, not like in 1 Kings. Which is weird- isn't it the same book, just split?
I must say, I have "enjoyed" reading the KJV of 1&2 Kings. The manner of speech is just so much livelier. The NIV seems more matter of fact and, dare I say, dry.
1 & 2 Samuel, 1&2 Kings and 1&2 Chronicles are part 1&2 of three seperate books. Kings and Chronicles talk about essentially the same topics but from a noticably different perspective Ive noticed in the past. Thats just my $.02 worth of hopefully interesting info from all those doctrine courses I took at Concordia.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. Doesn't Chronicles pretty much sticks with Judah?
Yes it does. Ive been meaning to begin reading Proverbs again. I read through it a few years ago and now as a married man it might have even more impact for me now. Looks like the summer reading list has begun to form!
