Stirrups have been making a comeback. I remember when George Hendrick was about the only guy who wore the extra long pants with almost no stirrup showing, back in the late '70s to early '80s. In fact, he may have started the current fashion of having long pants and no socks or stirrups visible.
Anyway, my wife doesn't like Brendan Ryan's stirrups, but I do. And my favorite Cardinals stirrups of all were worn by Lou Brock. They were pulled high, which is the look I preferred. I also dig the black shoes.
