Sunday Reading

2 Samuel 13-16.

There's still a lot of coughs and sneezes at church these days. Which always makes me shudder to shake the pastor's hand, or those of the greeters for the day for that matter.

Which is why I intend to advocate the fist bump at the next voter's meeting. It'll be a nice way to greet one another.

Of course, we won't blow it up. That's just not Lutheran.

  1. I laughed out loud when I read this. I work for a very traditional Korean psychiatrist that refuses to shake hands with his patients. He says it's because of germs, but he's really just uncomfortable with the idea. Perhaps I can get him to go with the fist bump as well. After all, if it's good enough for the Lutherans... ;-)

  2. DR!

Sounds like a little dap is what his patients need.

How does he feel about hugs?

I actually got this idea from a story last year during the H1N1 panic. Some CDC dude or some such person was actually advocating it.
