This season, treacherous for trying to pick winners, finally produced a .500 week for me again in week 9. I was 7-7. Overall for the year, I am 78-50. Compared to the ESPN NFL "Experts", that seems to be about average. Only Jaworski, who had a 9-5 record last week, has a better overall record at 81-47. I am tied with Schlereth and Golic for second. As unpredictable as this year has been, I'll take it. So let's try it again:
Baltimore
Indianapolis
Chicago
Atlanta
Minnesota
Jacksonville
Kansas City
New Orleans
New England
San Diego
Detroit
Philadelphia
Denver
Dallas
Seattle
Carolina
Sorry about the Browns game. I never thought they had a chance against the Falcons.
ReplyDeleteScottius!
ReplyDeleteYou're freakin' me out! New blog template? Change is most unsettling - I am Lutheran after all. ;-)
Quipper!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for the Browns to start winning. Could there be an offense in Cleveland? I'm sure it makes the Idiot of the Week tougher to pick.
Even Oakland is playing well. I shake my head every weekend.
DMG!
Sorry. Maybe I should rethink the idea of "Template of the Week".
Scottius,
ReplyDeleteDon't get your hopes up yet. The Browns offense is improving like I hoped, and it's starting to expose the shortcomings of some of the offensive players.
I'd like my hometown idiots to grow a little each week, even if that means the chasm in talent or smarts grows. That means it'll be easier to determine what holes to fill in free agency or in the draft.
Quipper!
ReplyDeleteAs opposed to baseball, in football I can never determine what teams need. So many players are interchangable. There is so much parity. Probably why I can't pick much higher than 50% each week.
