Unbeknownst to many, that was the original opening line to Sgt. Pepper. But Paul thought it a little awkward.
Now, to make us all feel really old.
It debuted on September 25, 1970. It wasn't quite as popular as the Brady Bunch. But it was much funnier. Even though I like the Brady's, they weren't these guys.
I always looked at the Brady's as the The Beatles, and the Partridges as the Rolling Stones.
The clincher as to why I like them better- it gave us this guy until the end of time.
